About the Connecticut Professional Disc Jockey Association

Q: What is the CPDA?
A:
CPDA stands for The Connecticut Professional Disc Jockey Association, a nonprofit association.

Q: Who belongs to the CPDA?
A:
An elite group of professional disc jockeys whose mission is to maintain the highest quality standards and professional excellence in the industry.

Q: Why do I need to choose a CPDA member?
A:
Because you deserve the best! When you select one of our members, you know they have met our strict requirements and follow a code of ethics.

When you hire a CPDA member, you get a disc jockey who returns your phone call within 24 hours. A person who has been in the business for a minimum of five years. A disc jockey who provides consultation before the wedding date. They will be dressed in a tuxedo for all formal events. They will be using clean, aesthetically pleasing, professional grade equipment. The disc jockey will be set up with music playing at least ten minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. All music volume is set at reasonable level in order to facilitate conversation. The disc jockey will cooperate with all service people involved with the event and they will coordinate activities with the banquet manager. CPDA members are required to have back-up equipment and carry liability insurance.
